The Isle of
Capri Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi had need of postponing
their property expansion plans with the destruction of
Hurricane Katrina. As life is rebuilt in the south, the plans
have been reinstated, and it includes a new CEO.
The new head of the casino has been named as Jim Perry,
formally of Argosy Gaming and Trump Entertainment. He is known
throughout the industry already, and has significant
experience in the field.
As the new head for the casino, one of his first priorities
will be to reinstate the motions and plans related to the
delayed expansion. The company had no alternatives after
Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005 and destroyed the coastal
regions, forcing mass evacuations and indescribable financial
ruin.
There were two additional changes made to the company as they
restructure and plan for the future: Dale Black will be
stepping in as the Chief Financial Officer, and Virginia
McDowell has accepted the position of COO. Bernard Goldstein
is the previous gentleman being replaced by Jim Perry, but
remains amicably with the company as the Chairman of the
Board.
